JESUS, Thank YOU FOR YOUR CROSS {JOHN 19:30} AND RESURRECTION {JOHN 20}. In HOLY BIBLE STUDY Tonight, we touched upon the topic of "Discipleship". The question that presented itself was what is a Disciple of JESUS CHRIST?
Let's faith it. Following JESUS is not any easy journey. On one occasion JESUS PREACHED that it is enough for the disciple to be as his Master.
We know that our LORD AND GOD JESUS WHO IS Our HUSBAND, Our Lord, WAS CRUCIFIED {JOHN 19}, DIED {JOHN 19:30}, WAS BURIED {JOHN 19:38-42}, AND RESURRECTED AGAIN THAT THIRD DAY {LUKE 24:46}. Because we follow HIM as our LORD, we too can understand that we'd have to Sacrifice everything near to us in order to put HIM FIRST {MATTHEW 5:44}. This simply means that nothing dear to us should occupy the first place in our lives other than JESUS. Now this leads us unto today's HOLY BIBLE VERSE.
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. - ROMANS 12:1
In today's HOLY BIBLE VERSE, we see Our LORD AND GOD JESUS {JOHN 20:28} TEACHING that if any man would come after HIM then we need to deny ourselves and take up our cross daily and follow Him. This shows forth that as with the Epistle to the Romans that we are to present our bodies unto God a a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto God which is our reasonable service {ROMANS 12:1}.
Because JESUS DENIED HIMSELF ALLOWING HIMSELF TO DIE EVEN THE DEATH ONN A CROSS, we as HIS Loyal Followers must deny ourselves and put ALMIGHTY JESUS' WILL Above our will. When we put ALMIGHTY GOD {GENESIS 35:11} FIRST IN All Things, we will lead lives that show forth to a world hungry for THE TRUTH, THAT we have IT, For the Truth IS in JESUS. HE IS THE WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE, no man comes to the Father but by Him {JOHN 14:6}.
Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers. - 1 TIMOTHY 4:16
So, my "dear friend {3 JOHN 1}", let's be diligent in Placing ALMIGHTY JESUS CHRIST'S DESIRES BEFORE Our own. Our HOLY BIBLE DECREES That we are to deny ungodliness.
When we put JESUS FIRST, we are showing ALMIGHTY GOD and other onlookers that we are trustworthy in our walk With JESUS, and because of this, we will not only save ourselves but will also be able to save all those who hear us {1 TIMOTHY 4:16}.
And, as the Billy Graham Foundation Decrees, my friend, "that is always good news." In JESUS' NAME {JOHN 14:13}. "Dear children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen {1 JOHN 5:21}." "The grace of the Lord Jesus be with God's people. Amen {REVELATION 22:21}."
